Hi kawan-kawan..

Happy weekend

Here is updates on our sew along project..

My new bag in the house

Cute bag, roomy enough if you carry it for shopping

Ada satu zippered pocket and open pocket

Taklah susah sangat dengan pattern ni, tapi saya memang ambik masa yang agak lama untuk memahamkan tutorial tuh.

Sebenarnya beg ini tak siap betul lagi, saya belum top stitch atas beg tuh, berikutan my NV50 buat hal, tetiba jahitan tebalnya melompat-lompat, walaupun dah guna jarum yang bersaiz besar, pastu masa menjahit tuh bunyinyer  dah semacam jerrr. Barulah saya ingat, alahai kesian NV50 ku ini, berkerja keras selama ini, tapi tak pernah di servis, kejam kan saya ni.

Maka, hari semalam (sabtu) saya pun ambil keputusan untuk menghantarnya ke pusat servis... dan juga... untuk mengakhiri penderaan ke atas NV50 saya ni, proudly welcoming my hi-speed on board. opsss, belum dapat lagi.. this coming wednesday agaknya. Opsss.. apa citer plak saya ni kan, melalut sudah.

Oklah... dari design beg yang asal, saya work out with a new design, saja share2 dengan you all

tadaaaa...

Beg ini menggunakan 17 patches, instead of 22 patches.

Dan disebabkan saya dah reduce patches, saya sangkakan beg akan jadi kecil, so saya besarkan patches tuh jadi 6 inchi, rupanya.. mak aiii gedabaknya beg ni hahaha

So kalau kawan2 rasa macam malas nak potong sampai 22 squares, just make it 17 squares, you will get the above bag shape.

Ops... satu lagi, beg ini saya menggunakan fabric kua kumbu dari Kuching as an alternative.

Buttercup Bag...

Need a new handbag?

Yup.. an alternate to my Curvy bag here



I choose to try this famous Buttercup Bag Pattern from Made by Rae

Its a free pattern if it is for personal use.

Here is my ButterCup bag in Red, I am using a linen cotton, quilted and zippered.. fuhhhhh quite tough to my NV50

There are 2 tutorials on attaching the zipper available on the net, one from Craftster and the other one from our local crafter, Nadscraft of ColourMePretty.

I choose to follow the one from Craftster, because I know my NV50 wont go with the thick top stitch between the bag body, the zipper and the lining.

Alternatively, I refer to tutorial on zipper by Creative Cutie here, its a bit clear to me compare to the one at Craftster.



Not a perfect outcome, but I am proud of my own effort in making this...

I am thinking of a sew along project with all my crafter friends.

In this way we can inspire others to sew and also exchange knowlegde and learn new things.

###TAPI takut jugak kalau takde sesiapa yang berminat kan.... almaklum, blog saya ni idoklah seglemer mana pun ahaks.. ####

Ok ok.. tak perlu fikir nak jadi glamour dulu baru nak buat sew along kan kan...

This sew along project I called it.. SIY

So.. ada sesapa nak join?

Sebelum jawab soalan kat atas ni.. mestilah nak tau nak buat projek apa kan..

In other words, the deadline is the first week end of Feb 2012... plenty of time I guess to all mothers out there to participate :)
